grounded, calm and centered

Stress is no joke. It interrupts digestion, interferes with sleep, impacts healing time, and plays a huge role in our susceptibility to disease.

But stress itself isn’t really the issue. It’s actually our perception of stress ~ how we react to it ~ that determines our physiological response. I find this fascinating ~ and empowering. We always have a choice in how we think about what’s happening around us.

This is kind of a big deal. Stress is said to be an underlying cause of an astronomical number of illness. So learning how to manage stress, to cultivate resilience and to actively put ourselves in a state of healing relaxation each and every day is essential for our health.

Join me for a free talk on Saturday, February 12th at 9am Mountain Time.

Constant stress, chronic busyness, exhaustion and irritability used to be a part of my daily reality.

It eventually became crystal clear to me that this path was only leading in one direction… and it didn’t look good (or feel good, for myself or anyone around me). It wasn’t doing me any favors.

So I practiced new ways of being. I trained myself to have a different relationship with life’s ups and downs. I adopted an attitude of willingness to trying the tools I’d discovered… I took the time to integrate the lessons I’d learned, to listen to my body and let its innate intelligence lead me to better choices. My mental, emotional and physical health improved. I fundamentally changed my direction for the better.

woman marveling at snow thrown in air blue skiesThis topic is near and dear to my heart. I believe we all need tools for finding our footing when life feels overwhelming. For cultivating a state of calm that soothes and sustains us, even when ~ especially when!  ~ external circumstances remind us of all that we can’t control.

I wish all humans learned practical, useful tools from an early age to help us take responsibility for our inner reality. To help us discover and stay connected with a calm, grounded, centered space within that is always there waiting for us.

This is something we may know intellectually, but have a hard time actually finding space for in our physical reality. This was certainly the case for me. But eventually this knowing became a part of me. It became a part of my being. It is a gift of immeasurable value.

It is a joy and an honor for me to support others by sharing useful strategies for accessing this space within themselves. It really does make the world a better place.
