If you want to start making shifts in your health by taking a new approach in Your kitchen, I’m here for you.

I’m passionate about sharing perspectives on food as medicine.

I want to empower you to make shifts in your eating patterns that can help you feel a lot better.

I’m here to help you evolve your relationship with food and heal patterns around eating that don’t support your health and happiness.

I am dedicated to promoting a healthy balance in our relationship with food.

I’m not interested in fad diets, or one-size-fits all approaches.

I’m interested in nutrition and the experience of nourishment.

When we take food in, we are interacting directly with the environment. We are bringing the external world into ourselves.

It is a natural exchange that reminds us how interconnected we are. How truly inseparable we are from our environment.

I’m interested in eating as an experience of receiving nourishment, of connecting to the support the earth is offering us through its abundant life in so many forms.

As you may have heard me say already: I believe the energy of connection is the energy of healing. With every bite, at each mealtime, we have this opportunity to experience this connection.

We’ve all heard the proverb: Let food be thy medicine.

I’m interested in the kinds of medicine we have in our own hands. Food is that kind of medicine.

It is one of the greatest pleasures I know to share my cooking with people.

Those who know me know that, if they’re coming over to my house, I will be feeding them, and it will be delicious.

But not everyone can come over to my house. There are so many more people out there than can fit in my kitchen!

I’ve created this space to bring my kitchen to you. I have literally been dreaming about this opportunity for years. So I’m pretty thrilled to have you here.

This is a platform for me to share recipes, techniques, and resources based on years of wild experimentation, culinary creation and thorough mess-making in many kitchens.

Cooking is a creative, centering and totally delightful activity for me.

This certainly has not always been the case. My relationship with food and mealtimes has evolved a great deal over the years.

Now, cooking is a meditation. I connect with the simplicity and beauty of the ingredients I use.

Most days for me, it’s all about simple, fresh, and satisfying.

Rather than knock myself out preparing elaborate dishes that I’m too tired to digest and way too tired to clean up, I focus on creating a feast for the senses.

This happens pretty naturally when the ingredients are fresh and simple. The more directly I can trace my ingredients to their origin, to their aliveness, the better. With this principle in place, the beauty of the food is inherent. Because nature and life are beautiful in a way that speaks unmistakably for itself.

Living things naturally seek out nourishment that is simple and fresh and full of vitality. Life supports life.

Bringing mindfulness to our ingredients in this way is a direct and highly effective avenue for improving our health.

Welcome to my kitchen… where food has become medicinal, edible art!

Long ago in an oil painting class, I discovered the fabulous world of color-mixing. You actually do this with a tool called a knife a palate knife. How I loved working colors together with this ingenious tool. It’s a lot like cooking in some ways.

I found that when I took my care and time in mixing the colors, the painting could practically paint itself.

My experience with ingredients is so similar. Good quality, fresh ingredients speak for themselves. The dish seems to prepare itself. It is a lovely thing. An absolute feast for the senses.

For me, returning to the kitchen is a ritual. I see this space as the hub of our house. It is the heartbeat, the center of our nourishment.

It is also, in many ways, the center of our family’s health and well-being.

I see food as medicine. It’s one of the most reliable ~ and satisfying ~ ways I have to take care of myself, my family, and my loved ones.

Getting people excited to start taking better care of themselves is what I’m all about. And food is a big part of this.
